LINE

This series began with more.

More detail. More colour. More information. More to look at.

For years, that was how I worked. In murals, commissions, and in my own practice, I kept adding. Building. Filling the space.

But eventually, something didn’t feel right.

So I started taking things away.

Less detail. Less noise. Less trying to say everything at once.

And somewhere in that process, I found Line.

I began to understand that the space we leave untouched can hold just as much power as the part we paint.

The paper that stays white.
The canvas that remains untouched.
The wall that doesn’t need to be filled.

Negative space isn’t empty.

It gives everything around it room to breathe.

And perhaps that’s true of life too.

The line is life. It curves, rises, falls and changes direction. There are highs and lows, seasons, tides, light and darkness.

Nothing in nature is perfectly straight.

And neither are we.

Line is my exploration of that idea.

A reminder that sometimes, by removing what isn’t necessary, we find what matters.

Less noise.
More feeling.
More space.
More connection.

And perhaps the funny thing about making something from less is realising how much was already there.

This is only the beginning.

Line Seven returns to the sky.

The seventh chapter in a series with no true ending, this line follows the kookaburra — a creature that carries something uniquely Australian in its presence. Its unmistakable laughter, its quiet power, its beauty and its ability to simply watch the world unfold.

There is a balance in the kookaburra that feels deeply connected to home. Grounded among the warmth of the earth, yet belonging to the coolness and freedom of the sky. It moves between both with an effortless sense of place.

Its call can feel like laughter carried through the trees — familiar, wild and unmistakably ours.

One line. One laugh. One connection between earth and sky.

Line Seven is a celebration of home, of Australia, and of the creatures that become part of the places we belong to. A reminder that sometimes connection is not something we need to search for — it is already around us, calling us home.

LINE SIX — Octopus

Line Six returns to the sea.

The sixth chapter in a series with no true ending, this line follows the octopus — a creature of extraordinary intelligence, creativity, adaptability and mystery. A master of its environment, it moves with a quiet cunning, constantly changing, observing and responding to the world around it.

There is a balance in the octopus that feels almost human. Strength and softness. Stillness and movement. Curiosity and caution. The ability to disappear, adapt and become something new when the moment calls for it.

Beneath the surface, it reminds us that creativity is not simply about making something — it is about seeing differently, thinking differently, and finding another way forward.

One line. Endless possibilities. No fixed shape.

Line Six is a celebration of adaptability, imagination and the quiet intelligence of knowing when to move, when to wait, and when to change. A reminder that sometimes our greatest strength is our ability to become, to evolve, and to find our own way through the unknown.

LINE FIVE

Some lines are walked with quiet confidence.

This one carries the weight of the earth beneath its feet.

The red kangaroo has always represented something rare in my life. Growing up surrounded by rescued native wildlife, every animal carried its own story, but when a red kangaroo came into my Mother’s care, it felt different. There was an undeniable presence—strength without aggression, power without force, a quiet awareness that needed no introduction.

Its gaze reminds us that true resilience isn’t found in standing still, but in continuing forward through every rise and fall.

The line beneath us is never straight. It bends through seasons of abundance and hardship, through heat and cold, certainty and doubt. Like the kangaroo, we learn to move with what life places before us, carrying both strength and gentleness in equal measure.

Painted upon a foundation of deep earth red, this piece returns us to where we all began. To country. To dust. To the heartbeat beneath our feet. It is a reminder that we are not separate from nature—we are another expression of it.

The line continues.

And so do we.

I’m that kid that if I wasn’t in the sea I was endlessly amused by the wonder of a blank piece of paper and a pencil. Days like this one captured in a time lapse fill the cup. So grateful I have found purpose in paint and ever inspired by the power it possesses to change environments. Thanks for watching

LINE FOUR

The line returns to the sky.

A white-bellied sea eagle glides between two worlds—the endless breath above and the endless abundance below. One cannot exist without the other. The ocean gives life, the sky gives breath, and somewhere on the horizon they meet, reminding us that separation is often an illusion.

This series has never been about drawing a straight line. It is about the quiet truth that every life bends, rises, falls and finds its way again. The line becomes a record of those unseen tides—of resilience, surrender, movement and return.

A photo of a fleeting encounter that asked nothing of me except to be present. Moments like these are gifts; reminders that the natural world is always speaking, if we’re willing to slow down long enough to listen.

Perhaps that is what this series is really becoming.

Not a collection of artworks, but a collection of moments where the line between ourselves and nature disappears.

The story continues.

A day that reminds me how lucky I am to hold a brush & call it my job sunrise to sunset in a beautiful part of the world for a beautiful family.

LINE
A single line. Simple in form, endless in meaning.
It bends, rises and falls—like tides, seasons and the stories we carry. It reminds us that life was never meant to be straight. The beauty is found in the turns, the contrast, the balance between chaos and calm.
This series is an exercise in less becoming more. A foundation of colour and movement, with each work carrying a native animal that feels less like a subject and more like a guide—a quiet totem that has already chosen us long before we recognise it.
Perhaps that’s why we are drawn to certain creatures. They mirror something within us, something we may not yet understand.
Line will continue for as long as I can hold a brush, following its own rhythm, one piece at a time.
My hope is simple:
That somewhere along the way, one of these lines finds you.
And when it does, you’ll know it was never just a painting.

LINE THREE

A creature I’ve had the privilege of sharing countless lineups with, both at home and across the world. While we chase waves above the surface, they move effortlessly below it—flying through the ocean with a grace that never stops inspiring me.

This piece continues a story that began with a single line. A line that represents the ebb and flow of life, the unseen connections between moments, places, and experiences. It is the thread that will weave its way through this series for as long as I am fortunate enough to hold a paintbrush.

Created using @posca_aus , water, and brush—the simple tools that form the foundation of my practice. Every mark is built through a tonal scale of light and dark, allowing depth to emerge while leaving room for what matters most: the negative space. The quiet places. The spaces between.

The more I create, the more I find myself pursuing less over more. Stripping away distraction to reveal what was there all along.

Each piece is a chapter. Each line a continuation of the story.

This is LINE.

The story continues from sea to sky.

Before they appear, you hear their call drifting across the landscape—a reminder that some things are felt long before they are seen. Featuring the black cockatoo, a messenger of change, resilience, and connection, LINE TWO follows the same unbroken thread, carrying us upward into the realm of flight.

A single line stretches between earth and sun, carrying the stories that connect all things. For those who know my work, you’ll sense where this path is leading. You hear the call long before you see the silhouette—a reminder that some things arrive first in spirit, then in sight.

The line continues. The story unfolds.

A single line, flowing like the tide, weaving through the ebbs and flows of life. For this first piece, a humpback whale returns to the ocean, carrying the spirit of movement, change, and new beginnings.

Straight Back to the Ocean, a humpback whale returning home, this first release marks the start of a new series built from a single line—an exploration of movement, connection, and the beauty found in simplicity.

Printed on beautiful archival paper and available soon in a range of sizes, these works are an invitation to follow the line, to dive in, and see where it leads.

What began as an exploration of complexity led me back to simplicity. A single line, real and intentional, becoming the foundation for a new body of work.

The humpback whale marks the beginning of the Line series — a reminder that sometimes the clearest path forward is the one that takes us back to what has always been there.

LINE ONE— Straight Back to the Ocean
The humpback whale. A return to where it all begins.

Through the process of experimentation — of searching, pushing, overworking, and trying to force a new series into existence — I found motivation waiting quietly on the other side of it all.

In that space, something shifted.

Instead of adding more, I felt drawn toward less. Toward simplicity. Toward the honesty of a single mark.

This series was born from that feeling.

Line.

A continuous thread woven through every artwork. A line that becomes the unifying language of the series — imperfect, flowing, restless, calm. Much like life itself.

Because no line is ever truly straight.

There are bends and breaks. Highs and lows. Ebb and flow. Movement like tides, wind, breath, memory, growth. The beauty of a line is not in its perfection, but in its journey.

I think that’s something I’ve spent a long time trying to understand in life too — the beauty of simple things. The quiet power of stripping things back enough to actually feel them.

Through this line, I capture my other great love: mother nature. The natural world. The animals, textures, rhythms, and energy that continue to inspire me endlessly.

Each piece becomes a moment held together by this singular gesture — elegant, raw, playful, imperfect, alive.

I can already feel this series stretching far beyond what I can currently imagine. Something that may continue for as long as I’m able to paint.

Every artwork will be numbered sequentially from beginning to end. One evolving story. One ongoing line.

Well I have been locked out of this account for almost two years. Here’s a catch up I love the same girl @mrsmillahs we have had the pleasure of watching the kids grow into even more amazing humans we are proud of every day. I painted lots still pinch myself in those moments you realise you call it a job. I put some fires out rode a few waves and genuinely call myself the luckiest old bald man going around. Big love folks I will start to slowly move stuff back here x
